In 2014, we set out to elevate private lending to small businesses by offering transparent, fast and flexible funding solutions. Ten years on, and we believe succeeded in doing just that, delivering 220 business loans worth over $125 Million

PMA’s achievements would not have been possible if it weren’t for all our clients, brokers, referrers and partners who shared the same vision - all of whom we are incredibly grateful for.

It’s an honour to work with all of you and we look forward to continuing our success for the next ten years.

Below are the speeches given by PMA’s co-founder, Tim Hart and PMA’s Managing Director, Peter Cuskelly, at our recent 10th birthday celebrations:

Tim Hart, Co-founder

“Thank you everyone for coming tonight to celebrate 10 years of success for Private Mortgages Australia. It means a lot to me that you’ve come out into this delightful Melbourne weather to celebrate with us.

I’d like to thank everyone here. You are here because you have helped PMA become what it is today. Whether that’s as an advisor, employee, investor or broker, PMA wouldn’t be what it is today without you all, and for that I thank you for your support.

PMA was founded back in 2014 on the idea of doing private lending better. This meant a more transparent lending process that was better for investors and borrowers and I’m happy to say it was a roaring success.

A big part of that success were two critical team members that I’d like to give a special shout out to tonight. These two have been with PMA pretty much since we started and have helped shape and grow this business to what it is today. I am of course talking about Peter Cuskelly the Managing Director of PMA and Lauren Taylor the Managing Director of Active Property Group.

I’m truly honoured to have Peter and Lauren as part of our leadership team to grow the business into the future. Here's to PMA! Happy birthday!”

“It is a great achievement for any Australian small business to achieve a 10-year anniversary and I am very proud to have been a part of the business over its journey, starting as BDM and Credit Manager and now as Managing Director.

Private lending provides a unique challenge with no two scenarios the same and each having various twists and turns – some way more than others. During our 10 years, we have funded over 220 loans totalling over $125m, helping other SME businesses achieve their various goals. And to achieve this, it has taken the vision, support and hard work of so many people.

Our founders, brokers, investors, service providers and especially our staff, that we need to thank for helping us achieve this goal. It is your support that has made this possible. Thank you for trusting us with your clients, cash and careers – it is truly appreciated – and I can assure you that we are not finished yet and are looking forward to the next 10 years.”
