Company Profile:
An exciting career opportunity exists with a rapidly growing private lender and fund manager. Private Mortgages Australia Pty Ltd (‘PMA’) is a privately-owned national lender that specialises in short-term commercial finance.

PMA is currently growing at a rapid rate and requires a seasoned credit professional to round out its executive team.

Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:
The Credit Manager is ultimately responsible for credit quality and recovering delinquent loans.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure that credit standards are upheld when conducting new credit assessments.
• Member of Credit Committee for approval of new lending.
• Prepare accurate and succinctly written credit papers supported by applicant documentation.
• Coordinate loan advances by effectively communicating with Sales and Support staff.
• Oversee day-to-day management of existing loan portfolio.
• Manage delinquent loans and coordinate enforcement with solicitors
• Day to day management of remote support staff

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial credit from within a bank or non-bank environment (not mortgage brokering).
• Exposure to collections is highly desirable.
• $5M+ CAD/DLA is preferred but not essential.
• Candidates with previous experience within commercial finance and construction is desirable.
• Previous management experience is preferable but not essential.
• Tertiary Qualified: Business, Finance, Accounting, Law or Economics.
• Certificate IV Mortgage Services is desirable but not essential.
